Blanket Consortium Agreement

For the purposes of this Agreement and in accordance with 34 CFR 668.5, the three colleges of the Coast Community College District agree that: this Agreement will remain in effect until amended by the three Colleges or until one of the three institutions wishes to withdraw from the Agreement by providing written notification to the Directors of Financial Assistance to the other two and to the FAO District. A consortium agreement is a framework agreement between two eligible schools for students who are taking related courses in neighbouring schools or who are enrolling in an exchange program with another eligible school for a semester or more. The school must have an agreement for each student and a separate agreement with each school. The Coast Community College District has entered into a consortium agreement between Orange Coast College, Golden West College and Coastline Community College for students who are also enrolled in more than one college in the Coast Community College District. When a student is enrolled in more than one of the three district colleges in the same semester, the student`s class load for determining financial aid includes the sum of all units occupied at the three colleges, provided that the units are eligible for financial assistance. The student`s home college (college where the student wishes to obtain a degree or certificate) is the only college where the student receives help – a student cannot be helped at more than one college within the same time frame. District College as a high school This is a comprehensive consortium agreement between the three colleges in the Coast Community College District: Golden West College, Coastline Community College and Orange Coast College. This agreement replaces the previous agreement, which had been in force since July 2012. This agreement will enter into force at the beginning of the autumn semester of the 2015-16 academic year and will remain in force until it is amended by the three colleges or until one of the three institutions wishes to withdraw from the agreement by sending a written notification to the other two. As a framework agreement, no individual consortium agreement is necessary between these higher education institutions for students who wish to benefit from the terms of this agreement. A consortium agreement is required for students who wish to receive financial assistance during attendance at the visiting school.
